This tutorial was written by me on August 13th, 2013 and is my own creation. Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional.

 

PSP Version used: PSP X5, but should work in other versions.

 

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP.

 

Supplies:

 

Tube of choice. I am using the work of Arthur Crowe. You can purchase his work here.

 

Angelic PTU kit by Kandii Popz Dezignz.  You can purchase this kit here.

 

sg_studded-blocks mask by Essexgirl. You can find it here.

 

Font of choice. I am using Luna Bar.

 

Filters:

AAA Frames - Foto Frames

 

--------------------

 

Open a blank transparent image, 600 x 250.

 

Working from the bottom up, add paper 3.

 

Add a new layer and floodfill with #56564f. Apply your mask, invert mask data checked. Merge group.

 

Selection tool - make a selection around the center square of the mask.

Add paper 8, selection invert, press delete. Move this layer below your mask layer.

 

Open your tube and resize if necessary. Place to the far right. Duplicate, flip horizontal, and move this copy to the far left. Merge down. Duplicate your tubes, guassian blur, 3.00. Set the blend mode to Screen, 32. On the original tubes layer, set the blend mode to luminance (L), 32.

 

Drapes, 60% - Place over the center square

Cloud2 - place to the bottom

Harp, 40% - rotate slightly to the left, place to the left, slightly down

Angel2, 40% - place to the bottom left, along the left edge of drapes

Butterfly

 

Open your tube again and resize to your liking. Place in the center over the drapes. Duplicate, gaussian blur with the same settings as before. Set the blend mode to overlay. On the original tube layer, Shift + L, 0, 0.

 

Feather1, 80% - Place to the far right. Duplicate, flip horizontal, place to the far left

Candles, 40% - place to bottom right

Dove, 40% - place to upper left corner

Ribbon1, 80% - place to the bottom

Cat, 40% - flip horizontal, place next to candles

Rose2, 30% - place to lower left corner

Sparkles - flip vertical, place to your liking

 

Apply a drop shadow to your layers.

 

Merge all, flatten.

 

AAA Frames - Foto Frames, widtch 0, matte 1.

 

Add your name, copyrights & license info.

 

For your avatar, undo the Foto Frame. Crop to the size you prefer. Then redo the Foto Frame. Add your copyright, license info, and your name.

 

Save both as a PNG.
