Pink Carpet Style


This tutorial was written by me on January 4th, 2013 and is my own creation. Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional.

PSP Version used: PSP9, but should work in other versions.

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies:

Tube of choice. I am using the work of VeryMany. You must purchase her work and acquire a license to use her art. You can do so here

PTU Pink Carpet Ready kit by Inzpired Creationz. You can purchase this kit here

Font of choice. I am using Gas.

Open a blank canvas, 600 x 600.

Open Tulle 3. Resize by 80%. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your blank canvas. Place to the upper right. Duplicate and mirror. Place to the upper left, horizontally lined with the original and merge these two layers together.

Duplicate the tulle again, flip, and merge down. Duplicate one final time, rotate 90 degrees to the right, merge down.

Open the Scattered Circles. Resize by 80%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place to the upper left corner. Duplicate, mirror, and flip.

Open the City Scene. Resize by 80%. Copy and paste as a new layer.

Open Frame 2. Resize by 80%. Copy and paste as a new layer.

Create a gradient using #ceccc8 and #ffffff. Click inside the pink frame. Selections, modify, expand by 10. Add a new raster layer and floodfill with your gradient. Deselect. Move this layer below the frame layer.

Open your tube. Copy and paste as a new layer above the gradient layer. Place to the right side of the gradient layer. Duplicate and mirror. Place to the left side of the gradient layer. Merge the tube layers together. 

On the gradient layer, select all, float, defloat. On the merged tube layer, selections, invert and press delete. Deselect.

Duplicate the tube layer, gaussian blur 3.00. Set the blend mode to overlay. On the original layer, hue and saturation, 0, 0, opacity 8.

Copy and paste your tube again. Click inside the frame, modify by 10. On the tube layer, selections, invert and press delete. Deselect. Duplicate the tube. Gaussian blur with the same settings as before. Set the blend mode to overlay and the opacity to 73. On the original layer, hue and saturation with the same settings as before, opacity 34.

Open Rose 3. Resize by 30%. Copy and paste as a new layer above the frame layer. Place to the top of the frame, slightly to the right. Duplicate, mirror and move so it is touching the side of the original flower, merge down. See my tag for reference.

Open Bow 2. Resize by 40%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place so the knot is between the two flowers.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer, resizing as necessary. Place to the left side.

Open Feather 5. Resize by 60%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place to the bottom left. Duplicate and mirror, merge down.

Open Light Ray 1. Copy and paste as a new layer, mirror and flip. Place to the lower right.

Open Bling Spill 3. Resize by 85%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place to the bottom of the frame.

Open Ribbon 3. Resize by 95%, mirror. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place over the bling spill.

Open the Cocktail. Resize by 65%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place to the lower right.

Open the Butterfly. Resize by 35%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place bottom center, over the ribbon.

Open Cupcake 1. Resize by 60%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place to the bottom left.

With your eraser tool, erase any part of your tube that hangs below the cupcake.

Open Bling 1. Resize by 65%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place to the lower right of the cocktail. Rotate slightly to the right.

Open the Blush. Resize by 50%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place to the bottom of the cocktail. Rotate slightly to the left.

Open the Lips. Resize by 40%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place to the upper right. Rotate slightly to the right.

Add your name, copyright and license info.

Open Sparkles 2. Copy and paste as a new layer.

Apply a drop shadow of choice and merge visible. Save as a PNG.
