This tutorial was written by me on June 22, 2013 and is my own creation. Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional.

 

PSP Version used: PSP X5, but should work in other versions.

 

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP.

 

Supplies:

 

Tube of choice. I am using the beautiful work of Zindy S.D. Nielsen. You can purchase here work here.

 

PTU Cora kit by Wicked Princess Scraps. You can find purchase info here.

 

MB and SW Mask 21 by Moonbeam & Spiderwebs. You can find it here.

 

SR Texture2 by Scraps Rebellion. You can find it here.

 

Two fonts of choice. I am using Tuscan Caps LHF and Carpenter ICG.

 

Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow (optional, for text)
Eye Candy 4000 Glass (optional, for text)

Open a blank canvas, 600 x 600. Open your mask, and WP_CA_PP6. Copy and paste your paper as a new raster layer onto your blank canvas. Apply your mask, merge group.

 

Open WP_CA_WALL. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place to the top. Duplicate, flip vertical, and place to the bottom.

 

Open WP_CA_PETALS. Resize by 86%. Copy and paste as a new layer.

 

Open WP_CA_FRAME5. Resize by 82%. Copy and paste as a new layer.

 

With your selection tool, draw out a rectangular selection around the rectangular windows of the frame (don't go beyond the edges of the frame).

 

Open your texture. Copy and paste as a new layer. Selections, invert and press delete. Deselect and move this layer below the frame layer.

 

Open WP_CA_PILEOFLEAVES. Resize by 50%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Flip vertical and place to the top of the rectangular frames. See my tag for reference. Duplicate this layer and flip vertical again. Place this copy to the bottom of the frame.

 

Open WP_CA_ARCH. Resize by 75%. Copy and paste as a new layer below the copy of the leaves. Place to the left.

 

Open WP_CA_FLOWER15. Resize by 60%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place over the leaves at the top.

 

Open WP_CA_STARDANGLE. Resize by 83%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place the star over the right side of the top leaves.

 

Open WP_CA_LOG. Resize by 20%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place to the lower right.

 

Open your tube, resize as necessary. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place over the frame. Duplicate, gaussian blur, 3.00. Set the blend mode to overlay.

 

Open WP_CA_CANDLE. Resize by 40%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place to the bottom left.

 

Open WP_CA_RIBBON1. Resize by 63%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place to the bottom. Move the log up so it shows more of the top.

 

Open WP_CA_BIRD. Resize by 30%, flip horizontal. Copy and paste as a new layer above the top leaves. Place to the bottom right so it sits on the log.

 

Open WP_CA_BEETLE2. Resize by 20%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place to the top left, on top of the flowers.

 

Set your foreground to null, and your background to WP_CA_PP4. With the Tuscan Caps font, type out your name. Convert to raster layer.

 

EyeCandy 4000 Glass, Bevel 45, Smoothness 75, Inside marquee checked, edge darkening, 30, gradient shading 0, refraction 50, opacity 0, tinting 50, glass color #fbf8f9.

 

EyeCandy 4000 Gradient Glow. Basic tab: 3, 25, 100. Color tab using the following settings:

 

 

 

Set your background to WP_CA_PP3. Now write out your name again using the Carpenter font.

 

Repeat the Glass & Gradient Glow using the same settings as before.

 

Place this copy of your name to the bottom of the first name. See my tag for reference.

 

Add your copyright and license info. Apply a drop shadow of choice. Save as a PNG.
