Devilish

This tutorial was written by me on September 8th, 2012 and is my own creation. Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional.

This is my first tutorial using Photoshop CS3.

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of Photoshop.

Supplies:

Tube of choice. I am using the work of Elias Chatzoudis (One with a closeup works best). You can purchase it here

PTU Anger Management kit by Designs by LK. You can purchase it here

Template 3 by Tasha's Playground. You can find it here

Font of choice. I am using MCF Bad Manners Wild West.

Plugins: Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow (optional)

Open temp3. Set the canvas size to 683 x 683. Set the image size to 600 x 600, resample image set to Bicubic Sharpener (best for reduction). Delete the following layers: New Layer, words2, back2, words1, back1, Sexy2, Sexy1, Layer 0.

Open the wire. Image size set to 550 x 549. Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C. On the template, Ctrl+V. Move this layer to the bottom.

Open paper9. Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C. On the template, Ctrl+V. Move this layer abover layer 1. Click on layer 1 in the layer palette. Ctrl+click on the thumbnail for layer 1. On the paper9 layer, Select, Inverse and press delete on your keyboard. Ctrl+D. Delete the layer 1 layer.

Merge layers 2 and 3 together. Ctrl+click on the thumbnail for the merged layer. Add a new layer and floodfill with ec9d3e. Select, inverse and press delete on your keyboard. Ctrl+D. Filter, Noise, Add noise, amount 15, gaussian, monochromatic checked.

Merge layers 4 & 5 together. Open paper2. Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C. On the template, Ctrl+V and move this layer above the merged circle layer. With the merged circle layer highlighted in the layer palette, Ctrl+click on the thumbnail. On the paper2 layer, select, inverse and press delete on your keyboard. Ctrl+D. Delete the merged rectangle layer.

Merge all the slat layers together. Open paper8. Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C. On the template, Ctrl+V. With the merged slats layer highlighted in the layer palette, Ctrl+click on the slats thumbnail. On the paper8 layer, select, inverse an press delete on your keyboard. Ctrl+D. Delete the merged slats layer.

Open your closeup. Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C. On the slats paper layer, Ctrl+V. Move this layer so your tube is centered over the slats.

Duplicate your closeup 2 times. On the original tube layer, Filter, Noise, Add noise, 100. Filter, blur, motion blur, 90, 100. On the top closeup layer, Filter, blur, gaussian blur, 3. Set the blend mode to screen. Merge the tube layers together and lower the opacity to your liking.

Click on the slats layer. Ctrl+click on the thumbnail. On the merged tube layer, select, inverse. Press delete on your keyboard. Ctrl+D.

Open the pinchers. Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C. On the template, Ctrl+V. Select your move tool, click on the Show Transform Controls box. Rotate slightly to the right. Click on the green check mark to apply. Move the pinchers towards the bottom of the slats.

Open the barredwindow. Image size, 60%, resample image set to Bicubic Sharpener. Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C. On the working canvas, Ctrl+V. Use your mover tool, show transform controls checked, and rotate slightly to the right and apply. Untick the transform controls box.

Open flower1. Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C. On the working canvas, Ctrl+V. Move to the bottom left corner. Maximize your flower2 image again. Image size, 80%, resample image set to Bicubic Sharpener. Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C. On the working canvas, Ctrl+V. Move this flower to the upper right corner of your slats.

Open the spiderdangle. Image size set to 60%, resample image set to Bicubic Sharpener. Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C. On the working canvas, Ctrl+V. Move to the left of the slats. See my tag for reference. 

Open star2. Image size set to 80%, resample image set to Bicubic Sharpener. Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C. On the working canvas, Ctrl+V. Use your transform controls again, rotate slightly to the left. Move over the top of the spiderdangle. Ctrl+V, use the transform controls to rotate this star slightly to the right. Move over the top of the barredwindow. See my tag for reference.

Open your full-size tube. Resize if necessary. Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C. On the working canvas, Ctrl+V. Move to the bottom of your template layers.

Open skulls2. Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C. On the working canvas, Ctrl+V. Move to the bottom right of your tag.

Apply a drop shadow to your layers. I used a slight drop shadow.

Add your name. Highlight your name then click on the create warped text icon. Style Arc, horizontal checked. Horizontal distortion +55, Vertical Distortion +10. 

Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow 3, fat preset using a light and dark color from your tag. 

Add a harder drop shadow on your text than the rest of your tag.

Merge visible. Apply your copyright, and license info.

Merge visible and save as a PNG.
