Vixen


This tutorial was written by me on September 14th, 2012 and is my own creation. Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional.

PSP Version used: PSP9, but should work in other versions.

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies:

Tube of choice. I am using the work of Keith Garvey. You can purchase his tubes here

PTU Sweet Vixen kit by Scraps Dimensions. You can purchase it here

Temp 67 by Amy & Leah's Gimptastic Tuts. You can find it here

M3 by me. You can find the mask here

Font of choice. I am using Eight Fifteen.

Open your template. Delete the copyright layer and the stars layers. Set the canvas to 700 x 700. Resize all layers by 86%.

Open your mask and minimize. Set your foreground to #fdfafe and your background to #e7c252. Create a linear gradient with these colors, angle 45, repeats 3. Unhide the background layer and floodfill with your gradient. Apply your mask, merge group. 

Duplicate your mask layer and mirror.

Merge the square 2 and square 3 layers together. Select all, float, defloat. Open paper 3. Copy and paste as a new layer. Selections, invert and press delete. Deselect and delete the original layer.

Merge the circle 2 and circle 3 layers together. Select all, float, defloat. Open paper 9. Copy and paste as a new layer. Selections, invert and press delete. Deselect and delete the original layer.

On the circle 1 layer, select all, float, defloat. Open paper 5. Copy and paste as a new layer. Selections, invert and press delete. Deselect and delete the original layer.

On the square 1 layer, select all, float, defloat. Open paper 11. Copy and paste as a new layer. Selections, invert and press delete. Deselect and delete the original layer.

Open your tube or a closeup. Copy and paste as a new layer and place to your liking. 

On the frame layer, use your magic wand and click inside the frame. Selections, modify, expand by 3. On the tube layer, selection, invert and press delete. Deselect.

Duplicate your tube. Gaussian blur 3.00. Set the blend mode to screen, opacity 66. On the original tube layer, set the blend mode to luminance (L), opacity 66.

Set your foreground to #f436fe and your background to #542564. Create a linear gradient with the same settings as before. 

On your frame layer, select all, float, defloat. Add a new raster layer and floodfill with your gradient. Deselect. Add noise, gaussian, 50.

Merge the rect 1 and rect 2 layers together. Select all, float, defloat. Open paper 12. Copy and paste as a new layer. Selections, invert and press delete. Deselect and delete the original layer.

Open element 68. Image, rotate, rotate clockwise 90. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place to the bottom of the template. Duplicate and flip.

Open element 15. Resize by 40%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place to the bottom left. Duplicate and mirror.

Open element 82. Resize by 70%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place to the bottom of the feathers.

Open element 2. Resize by 20%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place towards the lower left corner of the rectangle on the left side. See my tag for reference.

Open element 41. Resize by 20%. Copy and paste as a new layer.  Place over the heel of the shoe.

Open element 58. Resize by 40%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place to the lower right corner.

Open element 60. Resize by 30%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place in the upper right corner of your template.

Open element 29. Resize by 25%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place over the top of the charm. Use your raster deform tool and rotate the bow slightly to the right.

Open element 1. Resize by 20%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place slightly down and to the left of the bottle.

Open element 34. Resize by 30%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place to the bottom center.

Open your full-size tube, resize if necessary. Copy and paste as a new layer. Mirror and move slightly to the right. Duplicate your tube, gaussian blur 3.00. Set the blend mode to overlay.

Add your name, copyright, and license info. Apply a drop shadow of choice.

Merge visible and save as a PNG.
