Heat Wave

This tutorial was written by me on July 14th, 2012 and is my own creation. Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional.

PSP Version used: PSP9, but should work in other versions.

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies:

Tube of choice. I am using the amazing work of Ismael Rac. You must purchase his work and obtain the proper licensing. You may do so here

PTU kit Summer Splash by Purple's Kreationz. You can find it here.

Template63-Leah by Amy & Leah's Gimptastic Tuts. You can find it here

Mask SOE_Mask9_ByRachel09 by Scraps of Enchantment. You can find it here

Font of choice.

Filters:

Penta.com Color Dot.

Ok lets get started.

Open your template & mask. Minimize your mask.

On your Template, delete the following layers: credits, wordart, wordart back. Canvas size set to 600 x 600.

Select the background layer. Open paper PK-SS-P9. Copy and paste as a new layer. Apply your mask, merge group.

On the rect 2 layer, select all, float, defloat. Open paper PK-SS-P10. Copy and paste as a new layer. Selections, invert and press delete on your keyboard. Deselect and delete the original layer.

On the frame 1 layer, select all, float, defloat. Add a new raster layer and floodfill with #f95573. Add noise, gaussian, 100, monochrome checked.

Set the foreground to #fbd528 and your background to #ffffff. On the gradient tab, select the foreground-background gradient, angle 22, repeats 1, style linear.

On the square 3 layer, select all, float, defloat. Add a new raster layer and floofill with your gradient. Deselect. Repeat for squares 1 and 2. Delete the original square layers.

Open your tube and mirror. Copy and paste as a new layer above the square 3 gradient layer and place to your liking. On the gradient layer select all, float, defloat.  On your tube layer, selections, invert and press delete on your keyboard. Deselect. Repeat for square 1.

For both gradient squares that you added your tube to, duplicate your tube, gaussian blur 3.00, set the blend mode to overlay, opacity 40. On the original tube layer, set the blend mode to luminance (L), opacity 40.
