Just A Lil' Emo

This tutorial was written by me on January 22nd, 2012 and is my own creation. Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional.

PSP Version used: PSP9, but should work in other versions.

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies:

Tube of choice. I am using the artwork of Elias Chatzoudis, a PTU artist with PSP Tubes Emporium. You must first purchase a license # to use his work.

Kit is a FTU kit by Purple's Kreationz called Emolution. You can download it from her blog here

Mask is WH-CM Exclusive #1 by Witchy's Heart and can be downloaded from the Creative Misfits Creations blog here

Font of choice.

Filters:

Gregs Factory Output Vol. II Pool Shadow
EyeCandy 4000 Gradient Glow (for text)

Ok let's get started!

Open your tube, mask, and frame PK-E-F3.

On your frame, resize by 75%, all layers checked. Resize again, 92%, all layers unchecked.

Open paper PK-E-P8. Copy and paste as a new layer and move below your frame layer.

Apply your mask, merge group.

Gregs Factory Output Vol. II>Pool Shadow using the following settings:

Diagonal: 148
Center: 14
Horizontal: 74
Diagonal: 84
Horizontal: 86
Vertical: 76
Intensity: 139
Lightness: 107

On your frame layer, use your magic wand tool and click inside the frame. Selections>Modify, Expand by 5.

Open paper PK-E-P4. Copy and paste as a new layer. Selections>Invert and press delete on your keyboard. Deselect and move below your frame layer.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer. Resize as necessary.

Place your tube to your preference.

Duplicate tube. On the top tube layer, Adjust>Blur>Gaussian Blur 5. Set the blend mode to overlay and on the original tube layer, Adjust>Hue & Saturation>Colorize 0,0.

Select all>Float>Defloat. On your frame layer, use your eraser tool and erase any part of the frame covering your tube. Deselect.

Open element PK-E-CHAIN. Copy and paste as a new layer below your frame. Place just below the middle of the frame. Duplicate and move this one a little below it so that it looks like the girl is behind a fence. See my tag for placement.

Merge these two chain layers together.

On your paper layer Select all>Float>Defloat.

On your chain layer, Seletions>Invert. Press the delete key on your keyboard and deselect.

Open element PK-E-KNUCKLERING. Resize by 50%.

Copy and paste as a new layer and place at the bottom. See mine for reference.

Open PK-E-FLOWER2. Resize by 60%.

Copy and paste as a new layer. Place to the right size of the knucklering. Duplicate and place to the left side. Duplicate again and place between the first 2 flowers, but slightly down. See my tag for reference.

Open element PK-E-BADBUG. Resize by 60%. Image>Mirror. Copy and paste as a new layer to the left of the flowers.

Open element PK-E-LOLLI1. Resize by 50%.

Copy and paste as a new layer and place to the right side of your frame. Duplicate and then Image>Rotate>Free Rotate right 45.  Duplicate again and mirror. Place each lollipop so that the stems insect at roughly the same point. See my tag for reference.
