Mob-Esque Forum Style
Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional.
PSP Version used: PSP9, but should work in other versions.
This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP.
Supplies:
Tube of choice. I am using the sexy work of Barbara Jensen. You must purchase her work and obtain the proper licensing to use her work. This tube is an exclusive from the Scraps and the City and can be found here.
PTU kit Mobsters III by Purple's Kreationz. You can find it here.
Font of choice. I am using Betty Noir, a free font.
Ok let's get started!
Open a blank canvas, 600 x 250.
Open paper PK-MIII-P3. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas.
Open your tube, preferrably a closeup. Move to the left side of your canvas. Duplicate, mirror and merge these two layers together. Duplicate again, adjust, blur, gaussian blur 3.00. On the original tube layer set the blend mode to 50 transparency, soft light. On the blurred layer, set the blend mode to 50 transparency, screen.
Open element PK-MIII-STAR. Copy and paste as a new layer. Move to the bottom left corner. Duplicate, mirror.
Open element PK-MIII-DISCOBALL. Copy and paste as a new layer. Move to the upper left corner of your tag. Duplicate and mirror. See my tag for reference.
Open your tube, resize as necessary. Copy and paste as a new layer. Duplicate, gaussian blur with the same settings as before. On the original tube layer, set the blend mode to Luminance (L). On the blurred layer, set the blend mode to overlay.
Open element PK-MIII-RIBBON2. Copy and paste as a new layer. With your raster deform tool, stretch the ribbon horizontally till it is as long as your canvas. Sharpen 2-3 times.
Using your raster deform tool again, rotate slightly to the left so it somewhat is laying flat.
Move to the bottom of your tag.
Open element PK-MIII-FLOWER1. Copy and paste as a new layer. Move to the bottom left corner of your tag, duplicate and mirror. See my tag for reference.
Open element PK-MIII-DOLLARSIGN. Resize by 80%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Move to the bottom left corner of your tag. See mine for reference.
Open element PK-MIII-KEY. Resize by 75%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place to the upper right of your tube. See my tag for placement.
Open element PK-MIII-MARTINI. Copy and paste as a new layer, place to the right of your tube. See my tag for reference.
Add a drop shadow of choice to all your layers above the paper layer. Merge visible.
Select all, modify, contract by 5, invert. Add a new raster layer and floodfill with a gradient. I used a purple from the elements and white . Add noise uniform, 100, monochrome checked.
Selections, modify, expand by 2. Add a new raster layer and floodfill with black. Move this layer below your gradient layer. Merge the two frame layers together and add a drop shadow.
Add your name, copyrights, and license info.
Merge visible and save as a .png or .jpg.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial :)
