Rockin' Attitude


This tutorial was written by me on January 18th, 2012 and is my own creation. Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional.

PSP Version used: PSP9, but should work in other versions.

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP. 

Supplies:

Tube of choice (preferably one with a close-up). I am using the amazing work of Zlata M. He is a PTU artist and you must purchase his work and use the appropriate licensing to use his work. This tube can be purchased from The PSP Project

Kit is a PTU kit by Purple's Kreationz, called My Goth Attitude. You can find it here

Chrome frame by Alika's Scraps and you can download it from her blog here

Mask of choice. I am using a mask by Vix, Vix_Mask410. You can download this mask from her blog here

Texture 2 by Lexana. You can find it on Deviantart here.

Font of choice.

Ok let's get started!

Open as_chromeframe1. Image; Resize; 80%, resize all layers unchecked.

Open paper PK-GA-P13.

Adjust; Brightness and Contrast; Gamma Correction with the following settings:

Red: 0.84
Green: 2.2
Blue: 2.9

Copy and paste as a new layer below your frame layer.

Open your mask. Apply mask.

On your frame layer, use your magic wand and select the inside of the frame. Selections; Modify; Expand by 10. 

Layers; New Raster Layer. Floodfill with a gradient of your choice. Deselect. Move this layer below your frame layer.

Selections; Select all; float; defloat. Keep selected.

Open Texture 2 by Lexana. Copy and paste as a new layer. Selections; Invert and press delete on your keyboard. Set the blend mode to Luminance(L). Merge down. Deselect.

Open element PK-GA-MOON. Resize by 48%.

Copy and paste as a new layer. Place to the upper left side of your frame. See my tag for reference. Move this layer below your gradient/texture layer.

Open your close-up tube. Resize if necessary. 

Copy and paste as a new layer. Position tube to where you'd like it in the frame.

On your paper/texture layer, select all; float; defloat. Select your close-up tube layer and selections; invert. Press delete on your keyboard. Deselect. Lower the opacity to 50.

Open element PK-GA-GLITTERSPILL. Copy and paste as a new layer.

Open your tube. Copy and paste as a new layer. Move your tube above the frame. Resize if necessary.

On your frame layer, use your magic wand to select the inside of the frame. Selections; Modify; Expand by 1. 

On your tube layer, selections; Invert. Using your eraser tool, erase the bottom part of the girl covering the bottom of the frame. Deselect.

Open element PK-GA-SPIDER. Resize by 80%.

Copy and paste as a new layer. Place on the upper right hand side of your frame. See mine for reference.

Open element PK-GA-RIBBON2. Resize by 80%.

Copy and paste as a new layer. Place on the bottom of your frame. See mine for reference.

Open element PK-GA-ZIPPEDHEART1. Resize by 80%.

Copy and paste as a new layer. Place centered at the bottom of your tag. See mine for reference.

Open element PK-GA-SKULL5. Resize by 50%.

Copy and paste as a new layer. Place to the bottom left. Duplicate and mirror. See my tag for reference.

Open element PK-GA-BRACELET. Resize by 65%.

Copy and paste as a new layer. Place just to the right of the skull on the left hand side of your tag. See mine for reference.

Open element PK-GA-RING. Resize by 78%.

Copy and paste as a new layer. Place just to the left of your skull on the right hand side of your tag.

Add your name, copyright info, and license number.

Resize tag to your liking, if necessary. Save as a .jpg or .png.

Woot! We're done!
