Not Your Average Diva

This tutorial was written by me on August 2nd, 2012 and is my own creation. Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional.

PSP Version used: PSP9, but should work in other versions.

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies:

Tube of choice. I am using the art of Alex Prihodko, a PTU artist with Pics For Design. You must purchase his work and obtain the proper licensing to use his art. You can do so here

PTU kit Midnight Skulls by Black Widow Creationz.  You can purchase this kit at Scrap-A-Licious or if you spend $5, you can get it for free.

Template 110 by Scraps of Enchantment. You can download it from her blog here

Mask 146 by Gems Taggin' Scraps. You can download it here

Font of choice. I am using a free font called KG One Thing.

Ok lets get started.

Open your template and mask. Minimize your mask.

On your template, set your canvas size to 650 x 650. Resize all layers by 92%.

Delete the following layers: TOU, ShapeTop, ShapeBottom.

Open PP5. Copy and paste as a new layer. Move this layer to the bottom. Apply your mask, merge group.

Open EL32. Resize by 60%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Move to the top right of your tag. Duplicate & mirror. Move the duplicate slightly down. See my tag for reference.

On Circle1 layer, select all, float, defloat. Open PP1. Copy and paste as a new layer. Selections, invert and press delete on your keyboard. Deselect and delete the original layer. Repeat for your Frame layer.

On the Circle2 layer, Adjust, Brightness and Contrast, Brightness/Contrast, 255, 100.

On the Circle3 layer, select all, float, defloat. Open PP10. Copy and paste as a new layer. Selections, invert and press delete on your keyboard. Deselect and delete the original layer.

On the Circle4 layer, select all, float, defloat. Add a new raster layer. Set your foreground to #ffffff and your background to #46d1f1. Make a gradient with these 2 colors, angle 0, repeats 0, linear. Floodfill the new layer with this gradient.

Effects, Artistic Effects, Halftone using the following settings:

Halftone pattern: Round, 11
Angle 153
Use as overlay checked, soft light, 50
Greyscale, Ink #ffffff
Transparent checked.

Repeat for the RoundedRectangle layer.

Back to the circle gradient we just added. Open your tube. Resize to your liking. Copy and paste as a new layer. Move to the left side of the circle. Duplicate, mirror and move slightly up. Merge visible.

On the circle gradient layer, select all, float, defloat. Back to the tube layer. Selections, invert and press delete on your keyboard. Deselect.

Duplicate the tubes layer, gaussian blur 3.00. Set the blend mode to screen, opacity 52. On the original tubes layer, set the blend mode to luminance, opacity 52.

Open your tube again. Copy and paste as a new layer. Resize if necessary. Place to your liking. Duplicate, gaussian blur with the same settings as before. Set the blend mode to screen.

On the black rectangle layer, select all, float, defloat. Open PP9. Copy and paste as a new layer. Selections, invert and press delete on your keyboard. Deselect and delete the original layer.

On the GreyRectangle layer, select all, float, defloat. Add a new raster layer and floodfill with #000000 (black). Texture effects, weave, 1, 4, 1. Weave and gap color set to #ffffff (white), fill gaps checked.

Open your tube again. Copy and paste as a new layer just below your frame. Place to your liking.  On the rounded rectangle layer, select all, float, defloat. On the tube layer, selections, invert and press delete on your keyboard. Deselect.
